Why do psychics connect with some people but not others?
It has to do with how open a person is to getting a reading and whether they are going to let you in. Some people fight the process, often without knowing it, out of fear of what might be revealed. When you are open, the information flows like a waterfall.
Can your psychic really connect to your energy?
Today I found myself thinking about some of my clients. Reading some of them is amazingly easy, while with others it can be more difficult to connect.
As an example, I have a client who asked me where she would be living, because she had to move and had no idea where she would go. She lived not far from me and was looking in this area. I immediately said I didn't think I could tell her that. Then suddenly a street address popped into my head: a 5-digit number and the street name, not the city.
So I told her the address. She is in real estate, so she looked it up. That address was an hour away from where she lived, and she told me there was no way she would even look in that area, much less move there. She had no contacts and definitely no job there.
I said, "Welp, that's what I saw." A couple of months later she called for another reading and told me she had gotten a job in that area and had to move there. She ended up moving to an area she had never given a thought to, and it was exactly the city where the address I saw was.
Whenever I read her, vivid visions pop up. One time I saw a fireman, a younger man. She said she would never date a younger guy. Well, she met the fireman, he was younger, and she dated him. I marveled at the vivid images I get for her (and others), and I began to realize why visions and messages come in stronger for some people than for others.
Are you really open to getting a psychic reading?
I started thinking about why it is so easy to connect with some clients and harder with others. It has to do with how open a person is to getting a reading and, get this, whether they are going to let you in. That's right, some people actually fight the process.
People who seek psychic readings have a burning desire to know the future, to know what others are thinking and feeling, and how things will turn out. But sometimes they are not aware that they have a block to this knowledge. Most likely it is a fear of what might be revealed. It's similar to not wanting to go to the doctor because you might get bad news, so you unconsciously put up a wall.
Then there are people who deliberately try to block their psychic, or test them, by consciously blocking their thoughts. This is a waste of time. Psychics are sensitive by nature. They are constantly taking in energy from the people around them and are specifically open to receive. But if you don't want to be read, your simple willpower can create a wall.
By blocking your psychic, you make it difficult for them to pierce the veil of your subconscious. A reading is an exchange of energy, and you are preventing the connection, which is exactly what you want when you seek a reading. If you have doubts about whether a psychic is genuine, closing yourself off won't answer that question. Messages flow from higher consciousness, but they can be blocked, whether you do it consciously or not.
The client I described has always been very open to her readings. Not because she decided to be; I'm sure she is totally unaware of it. The information flows like a waterfall whenever I read her. If only it were this easy with everyone. But you can help the information flow.
Are you bonded to a specific outcome?
You need to participate in your reading. I don't mean you need to do the reading yourself or tell the psychic everything. Not at all. By participating, I mean being open: willing to hear the truthful messages that come through from your spirit guides or mine, and accepting what comes through.
Some people resist because it is hard to hear the truth about a situation they are very invested in turning out a certain way. That's called being bonded to a specific outcome, and it can set you up for disappointment. Being bonded to what you want can cut you off from other possibilities. While you are waiting for a certain outcome, you could be blocking yourself from life lessons that cannot be avoided.
Simply put, be open to the truth when you seek psychic guidance.
