How do you get an accurate psychic reading?

First, make sure you are dealing with a real psychic. That is the number one factor in accuracy, and it is not as easy as you may think. After that, accuracy depends on the psychic's talent, experience and knowledge, and on you: come to the reading relaxed and with a clear mind, not skeptical or trying to mislead. Choosing a psychic at random can leave you more frustrated than when you started, so get a referral or do some research to find a professional.

Accurate readings are not as easy to find as you may think, even though finding available psychics is as easy as going online and typing "psychics" into a search engine. The results are numerous, and choosing from all the options is a challenge. If you are thinking you might as well pick one at random and hope for the best, rethink that. Getting an accurate reading is NOT a simple process, and choosing randomly can result in inaccurate readings and leave you more frustrated than when you started out looking for psychic answers, or what I would more accurately describe as real spiritual and intuitive answers.

I have been giving psychic readings, numerology and tarot readings for many years now. I started as an apprentice, which lasted six years before I began offering my talents and knowledge professionally. Since opening my site, I have probably given more than 20,000 professional readings. I also get psychic readings myself and have done quite a bit of research, so I know firsthand what is out there. Today I want to share what anyone should know when looking for an accurate reading.

What makes a psychic reading accurate?

That's an easy one. Accuracy is receiving guidance from a higher spiritual source, channeled through a sentient (psychic, clairvoyant, empathic) human being who then reveals the information to you. Accuracy happens when you are receiving information from a true psychic intuitive who has the ability to channel it from a source beyond themselves, a higher consciousness.

What factors affect an accurate psychic reading?

Psychic accuracy can be influenced by a number of factors. First, and basic to any reading, you have to be dealing with a real psychic. You will not get anywhere calling a bunch of fake, entertainment-only psychics on networks. These are not real readings but a business model designed to comfort you with fabricated information: mainly overly positive forecasts claiming everything will work out exactly the way you want, which make you feel pretty darn good, delivered as if they came from a special psychic ability.

Unfortunately, today's widespread negative perception of psychics has come from the strong reactions of countless seekers who discovered this the hard way, through scripted and cold readings. So the number one factor affecting psychic accuracy is whether you are really talking to the real thing. And that is not as easy as you may think.

Does the psychic's talent and experience matter?

Other factors that affect accuracy are, of course, talent, experience and knowledge. Different psychics read with varying degrees of depth, and sometimes you do have to try a few to find one who connects best with your energy. You cannot assume that every psychic uses their ability in the same way, because they probably do not.

A spiritual gift that lets someone see or know information from the spiritual realm connects with that realm through their own subjective consciousness. Psychic thought cannot be quantified. There are currently no criteria to define or measure how psychic information is transmitted, so normal definitions of reality don't apply here. People are born with certain sensitivities that they experience in their own unique way, and that can be different for every psychic. Not everyone with a natural inclination toward psychic awareness will ever develop it.

If you want accuracy, find a responsible, professional psychic, and don't play around with network psychics. There are some good ones on networks, but they are hard to find, and I'm sure they would like to distinguish themselves from the massive numbers of fake psychics out there. And they should.

Can you, the client, affect the accuracy of a reading?

Yes. If you are not sure about your psychic, or you are skeptical, or you are trying to deceive or mislead a psychic, you are wasting your time and theirs. When a psychic is tapping into energy, whether yours or someone else's, you can clutter their perception with deception or other interference and simply get unreliable results. Your thoughts and feelings can affect a reading.

Also, I will not do a reading if a client is extremely upset or says they want to harm themselves. I refer them immediately to mental health professionals.

If you want an accurate reading, please clear your mind and relax before your session. Don't bring your suspicion with you. If you don't trust your psychic, don't bother calling them; get a referral or do some research first. A true psychic is there to help you through your difficulties by reading your energy and the energy of those involved in your situation, then giving you advice based on what is revealed. A true psychic reading can amazingly empower you in just one session.

If you are calling a psychic only to be amused, you will find plenty of that out there. If you want an accurate reading, do some research to find a professional.
