What is the superconscious mind?
It is the highest state of consciousness, a level of awareness that sees beyond material reality and taps into the energy and consciousness behind it. One of my long-time clients described her journey there to me, and it was so powerful I had to write about it.
What happened on that call?
Today was an unusual day. A long-time client called in a completely different state than usual. She was calm and centered, and her serenity and sense of balance were palpable to me. As she described her experience, I felt as though I was experiencing it myself. I immediately realized that what she was describing was the very highest state of consciousness, the superconscious. It had never happened to her before.
It was so transcendent that I felt compelled to write about it. It's a little different from what I normally blog about, but it was powerful and worth remembering.
If you look up the superconscious, you will read that it is a level of awareness that sees beyond material reality and taps into the energy and consciousness behind that reality. Some call this the "ether," the essence of the universe, a flow of energy that fills all matter and space.
What did she experience?
Here is my account of what she told me.
She described a feeling of being detached from her usual earthly life. She still knew the Earth, but it felt like a place she had once known that now seemed far away and almost irrelevant. Her consciousness seemed to have moved beyond the material world.
She found herself in a space filled with radiant light, like a pool or a vast ocean. The light was soft blue and lavender, and it felt serene and tranquil. To me, those colors speak of calm and spiritual elevation. It was a place beyond the everyday, where the line between physical form and energy blurs.
In this state, she felt her awareness become pure light energy. She was no longer in her physical body, but existed without form, free of its limits. It felt like merging with a universal energy, or a glimpse into a higher state of being.
She said words could not capture what she experienced, which is common for people who have reached these states of heightened consciousness. The experience is so personal and so unlike ordinary life that it is hard to put into language.
Interestingly, she said her mind worked differently while she was there. Instead of thinking in the usual way, she was simply "knowing." That suggests a direct insight that goes beyond reasoning, a direct connection to a deeper level of consciousness or universal knowledge.
In short, her experience took her beyond the Earth and beyond her physical body, into an ocean of soothing light where she became pure energy, beyond language and ordinary thought. It gave her a glimpse of a reality that defies description and shows how much mystery there is in consciousness and existence.
Have I been there too?
I could completely relate to her experience, because I have made many journeys into the superconscious mind in dreams and meditation. Sometimes when I wake, I feel I was in some other place I can't remember, a place I long to return to. I have had out-of-body experiences and traveled through the ether.
It may sound like some kind of super power, but it is really a journey into a reality that exists even though we don't "know" it. Ironically, our everyday reality is the illusion. She described our bodies as casings and said she felt like a tiny speck in a vast fabric of energy. I found it exciting for her and validating for me.
So many seemingly mysterious things happen to us that we don't understand. When you journey into the superconscious mind, unlimited possibilities open up, a reality we do not know or experience on the material plane.
Have you journeyed to the superconscious mind? What was your experience?
